Dr. Surjit Tarafdar


Dr. Surjit Tarafdar is a nephrologist working at the Blacktown Hospital in Sydney. He is also a conjoint senior lecturer in Medicine at the University of Western Sydney.

Dr. Tarafdar has a keen interest in academics which is exemplified by his multiple teaching awards and publications. He conceptualized and co-authored the first edition of “Passing the FRACP Written Examination- Questions and Answers” published by Wiley-Blackwell in October 2013. He conceptualized and started Revise Nephrology In Australia in 2015 and in 2018 the course had attendance of 202.

Dr. Tarafdar has just finished editing a nephrology book titled “Lecture Notes in Nephrology “for Wiley publications which is due to be published in October 2019.

This 2-day short course aims to provide an overview of common conditions in nephrology. Lectures notes will be uploaded at drive and can be downloaded. There will be 2 dedicated case-based discussions to highlight important points in the lectures.
